We are proud to be...Grounded in Sustainability
Community Support Agriculture (CSA) is our type of direct marketing that consists of a community of individuals who pledge support to a farm operation so that the farmland becomes, either legally or spiritually, the community’s farm, with the growers and consumers providing mutual support and sharing the risks and benefits of food production.
CSA is grounded in sustainability. Our CSA provides benefits in three categories: economic, social, and environmental. Economically, CSAs balance out the farmers’ fiscal year, making more capital available at the beginning of the growing season, when it is most necessary. Socially, CSAs build connections between farms and their communities, thus ensuring that more people have stake in the farm’s success. Environmentally, the economic support allows the farmer to plan better and therefore gives the flexibility to manage the soil better. The CSA market model also pushes farmers to focus on crop diversification, which reduces the impact from pests and diseases.
We offer a variety of crops during the growing season.
These crops are harvested each week. The crops are marketed to our CSA members and each member receives an equitable portion of the harvest for a reasonable fee. The vegetables are grown naturally and locally and are always fresh.
